The last three years has seen a big rise in the uptake of corporate therapy and corporate counselling services. We launched That Day Corporate Therapy back in January 2020, with no idea what was to come and the toll it would take on our mental health globally.

For some, corporate therapy might seem a step too far, or beyond the responsibility of a company. But the benefits of offering counselling within the workplace are huge, not only for the individual but also the company.

For many people they are still processing, consciously or unconsciously, what they’ve been through in the past few years and so offering your employees workplace counseling support and access to therapists as a work perk is incredibly valuable for a number of reasons.

  1. It shows employees you are serious about mental health. Allowing people to do the personal work on themselves in a deep way, really sends a signal of intent that as a company providing corporate therapy, you want to help people be the best version of themselves. It’s a clear sign of intent that you are willing to invest in your people in a big way.
  2. It gives people a safe, private space to talk openly. For some people a group setting, such as a lunchtime webinar on mental health isn’t the environment they feel like opening up in, they’re not quite there yet. Whilst those sessions can be great for some, many benefit from the more private therapy setting, where they can relax knowing it is a safe, confidential space just for them.
  3. Gives you access to a diverse range of licensed experts. One of the struggles we see from HR Professionals is sometimes not feeling equipped or qualified to support people with their mental health, which is why bringing in experts in the form of therapists and counselors to deliver therapy for business can take the weight off the shoulders of your HR teams and allow the experts at supporting people’s mental health to do just that!

So if you are interested in exploring the concept of workplace therapy, check out That Day Corporate Therapy and Counselling for more information about how it can work and as well as a sample of our amazing therapists.
